A complicated Friday for RER A users this Friday. Four RATP unions - La Base, CGT RATP, FO RATP Pôle Traction and UNSA RATP - have called a strike from 10 p.m. on Thursday until 7 a.m. on Saturday. Through this industrial action, the unions are seeking better working conditions and greater safety for staff. In a press release, they denounce " unacceptable situations of deregulation, endangerment of staff and users " and " disrespect for drivers' working conditions ".
As a result, traffic on RER line A will be disrupted this Friday, May 31, 2024. This is what RATP has announced on its website, specifying that the interconnection at Nanterre-Préfecture will nevertheless be maintained.
So what can we expect on the RER A this Friday? RATP has announced that traffic will be disrupted on the St-Germain-en-Laye, Poissy, Cergy / Boissy-St-Léger and Marne la Vallée lines. As a result, 3 out of 4 trains will be required on the Cergy-le-Haut and Poissy branches throughout the day. On the urban section, and on the Saint-Germain-en-Laye / Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy and Boissy-Saint-Léger branches, 1 train out of 2 will be required.
" In addition, for the Cergy-Le Haut / Poissy branches, plan to run a few extra trains originating/terminating at Nanterre-Préfecture or La Défense ", adds RATP, which invites all passengers on the line " to plan ahead for their journeys on the network on that day, and apologizes for the expected transport conditions ".
