A Christmas Market on Place de la Concorde for Christmas 2024 with toboggan run and entertainment

Among the festivities awaiting us at the end of the year, the Place de la Concorde may well delight strollers. Indeed, this year, the Mairie de Paris (Paris City Hall) is setting up family events and Christmas chalets from December 14, 2024 to January 5, 2025.

For once, the famous Paris Christmas Market, which usually takes place on the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville, will not be taking place, as the square is currently being transformed into a green lung. The city has therefore decided to move to the Concorde area, the stronghold of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It has to be said that this is a strategic and central location, just a stone's throw from the Tuileries Christmas market, the Illuminations des Champs-Elysées and the Grand Palais des glaces, so there's plenty to discover in the area.

Decorative elements, including wooden figurines and an urban forest designed by the city's services, will add a magical touch. Illuminations will enhance the festive atmosphere. Situated between the beautiful Champs-Elysées avenue, which will be illuminated from the end of November for the festive season, and the famous Tuileries Christmas Market, which delights the park every year, the park is sure to add to the magic of the festive season.

A dozen sales chalets will be decorated in the spirit of Christmas, some featuring products bearing the "Made in Paris" label. Among these chalets, three will be dedicated to small-scale catering, offering visitors the opportunity to savour delicacies in the open air, while one chalet will offer food products to be sampled on the spot. There will also be a toboggan run set amidst a promenade of fir and birch trees.

Christmas Market program:

• 1 toboggan run open afternoons and evenings until 9pm
• 5 Christmas window displays, including one designed by Lego
• 3 x 6-metre chalets for small-scale catering
• 1 x 4-meter chalet dedicated to food tasting and sales
• 6 chalets of 4 meters dedicated to "Made in Paris" products
• 1 exhibition designed by My Little Paris
• Activities for children, including a meeting with Santa Claus, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and every day during school vacations from 3 pm to 9 pm.
