Nuit des Musées 2024: curious clowns at the Musée de la Vie Romantique in Paris, the program

The Musée de la Vie Romantique invites you to a very special evening on May 18, 2024: activities for the whole family are organized for this 20th edition of the Nuit des Musées in Paris.

Did you love the film Night at the Museum? We're offering you the chance to experience the same adventure... well, almost. On Saturday, May 18, 2024, the museums, monuments and castles of France invite you to Nuit des Musées : an evening of exhibitions, concerts, entertainment and surprises of all kinds, for the whole family.

The Musée de la Vie Romantique is takingpart in this 20th edition of the festival, offering us a moment out of time, to the rhythm of the shows organized in the different areas of the museum. It's a chance to (re)discover George Sand's home, her works and her famous artist friends, who left their mark on 19th-century Parisian life. The Nuit des Musées is also an opportunity to enjoy the temporary exhibition currently on show in this hidden museum in the 9th arrondissement.

From 5pm to 8pm, Music! Discover the romantic accordion
Students in Jean-Etienne Sotty's accordion class at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris perform the romantic repertoire (Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, César Franck) and pieces by contemporary composers.
Open to all. No registration required.
From 8pm, an evening with the clown duo Champion and Ultrason
- 8pm, The romantic tour singing
  A singing tour led with brio by Champion and Ultrason (ukulele and vocals).
  Ages 10 and up. No registration required.
- 9pm, Hors d'œuvre
  Champion and Ultrason present the painting L'atelier d'Ary Scheffer by Arie Johannes Lamme.
  Ages 10 and up. Registration required on the day at the museum.
- 10:30pm, Frontal
  Champion and Ultrason offer an unusual discovery of the museum by night.
  Ages 10 and up. Same-day registration required at the museum.
