The film is aptly titled. Sans un Bruit takes place in a post-apocalyptic universe in which blind monsters with acute hearing have invaded our world. The only way to avoid them is to make absolutely no noise. Humanity, reduced to silence, must now adapt to a world where a simple noise can kill.
We follow a Midwestern family surviving in this deafeningly silent universe. It's a silence that plunges us easily into the story. We almost hold our breath, as the fear of the dangerous creatures on the prowl grips us to our very seats. Frustration and fear keep our eyes wide open, our senses sharper than ever, so we don't miss a moment of the plot, whose twists and turns are as unexpected as they are striking!
We salute both John Krasinski 's talent as an actor and screenwriter, and that of actress Emily Blunt. As a couple in reality as in fiction, their everyday complicity, adapted to the circumstances of the scenario, makes this film a truer-than-life work.
