It's one of the capital's liveliest districts, and a must for night owls: the Bastille district! And it's in this lively area that you'll find two MK2 cinemas: one on the Faubourg Saint Antoine side, the other on the Beaumarchais side. The program at this art-house cinema includes auteur and independent films, as well as the week's national releases for the general public, all in their original version. And since their renovation in 2017, the MK2 Bastille cinemas on the Faubourg Saint Antoine side have been equipped with laser projection.
And, as has been the case for the past four years, MK2 cinemas are renewing their cultural season with events spread throughout their cinemas. On the Beaumarchais side, you'll find the "lundis philos" lecture-debates with Charles Pépin, 1h, 1 oeuvre and special Bout'chou screenings for children aged 2 to 4, featuring short films with dimmed lighting and lower sound levels. After your movie, take a stroll along the Faubourg Saint Antoine, where you'll come across many picturesque passages, such as the passage du chantier and the cour de l'Etoile d'or. But above all, you'll find theOpéra de Bastille, where you can visit the performance halls during the day.
