With over one and a half million cinema-goers a year, the MK2 Bibliothèque is one of the most spacious cinemas in Paris. Located right next to the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris's 13th arrondissement, the MK2 Bibliothèque is the capital's 3rd largest cinema in terms of admissions. Inside, 20 screens await you, representing over 3,000 seats. In the lobby, you'll find a crêperie, a café-restaurant and a boutique.
The MK2 Bibliothèque program includes exclusive premieres, blockbusters and a selection of art house films, all available in VOST or VF. In addition, 4 cinemas are also located inside the BNF. And in 2019, a recent renovation took place in the cinema where you can now find in the lobby a large candy carousel or several ticket terminals for faster access to your session.
The complex was designed in collaboration with a number of architects, including Martin Szekely for the love seats and Jean-Michel Wilmotte for the building structure.
As in other MK2 cinemas, the MK2 Bibliothèque complex is also hosting its fourth cultural season with special screenings. Ciné-club CinemadZ, Bout'chou screenings, MK2 junior screenings, etc... find out all about these special screenings here!
As its name suggests, the cinema is surrounded by the Bibliothèque national de France, one of the most important in Paris, as well as other must-see sites. After a 3-minute walk, you'll find Félicità, a vast space dedicated to Italian cuisine. Closer still, 50 metres from the cinema, you'll find the Camion qui fume specializing in hamburgers!
