Are you a documentary fan? Then run to the MK2 Bibliothèque this weekend, December 2 and 3, to discover Vrai de Vrai, a festival of feature-length documentaries, produced for both television and cinema. The event is totally free, and to see one of the 33 selected films, all you have to do is reserve your place.
The event is organized by Scam, which is why the program includes the thirty films awarded a Étoile de la Scam, as well as the two Prix Scam for documentaries and feature films. You'll also be able to preview the film La Mère de tous les mensonges (The Mother of All Lies ) by Asmae El Moudir, winner of the Œil d'or 2023 at Cannes. Each screening will be followed by a meeting with the directors. The Audience Award will be presented on Sunday, December 3, during the closing ceremony.
Among the many films on offer, we recommend Les Années Super 8, a documentary directed by Annie Ernaux, winner of the 2022 Nobel Prize for Literature, and her son David Ernaux-Biot. We were thrilled with the film when it was released.
