The 23rd Fête du cinéma d'animation in October 2024: festival highlights in Paris

A worldwide event, the Fête du cinéma d'animation is back for its 23rd edition. In France, numerous events will be held throughout the country to pay tribute to this cinema , so important to the 7th art industry. Around the world, nearly 900 events will take place from October 11 to 31, 2024, and more than 1,000 events are expected.

In France, the event is coordinated by the Association Française du Cinéma d'Animation (AFCA), which is organizing a tour with director and guest of honor Eléa Gobbé-Mévellec. Ten screenings-meetings are organized throughout the country around the theme"The four elements: air, water, fire, earth", with proposals for all ages.

In Paris and Île-de-France, the AFCA is preparing a full program, including the following highlights:

Thursday, October 10, 8pm, Majestic Bastille (Paris)

Monday, October 28, 8:15pm, cinéma Le Méliès (Montreuil)

• Prix Emile-Reynaud: screening in the presence of the film crews and presentation of the prize, awarded to a French animated short by AFCA members.
  

October 25 to 27, at Cinéma Café des Images (Hérouville-Saint-Clair, 27)

• Closing weekend: screenings, previews and workshops for the whole family
