This is why he appeals to the Ministry of Culture, to avoid what he considers too great a loss:"This decline, it impacts an entire territory that benefits each year from more than 11 million euros of direct economic benefits," he writes .
Still according to Eric Roux, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and its president Laurent Wauquiez have not given any justification for this decision, which is disputed by the opposition. Nevertheless, the organizers of the festival are thinking about a way to keep it going with this new budget. The tracks evoked are a lighter version of the event, with fewer programs, juries and competitions.
