As for the plot, nothing official yet, but the first trailer shows a young Nathan Drake looking for a lost treasure. Throughout his search, he meets with Sully (played by Mark Wahlberg) for the first time. The trailer also features action scenes coming straight from the video game. One can think of the cargo plane scene, the exact reproduction of the one in the third installment if you know the game.
What about the casting, then? Apart from Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland, the movie stars Antonio Banderas (The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, Indiana Jones 5…), Tati Gabrielle (The Emoji Movie, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina…) and Sophia Taylor Ali (Grey’s Anatomy, The Wilds…). In other words, it excites our curiosity… Let us meet in February 2022!
