Cinema, when experienced in theaters, takes on an exceptional dimension, and to prove it, BNP Paribas and MK2 are offering fans a new opportunity to thrill with Séances #CinéCulte. Scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 2pm to 2am, these screenings promise to immerse Parisian audiences in the world of legendary films, all brought back into the spotlight for Halloween.
BNP Paribas, in partnership with MK2 cinemas, is celebrating the event by giving away 5,000 cinema tickets. This generous initiative will enable everyone - young and old - to (re)discover cult films in a unique atmosphere.
Among the major attractions, an exclusive preview of the French horror film Vermines, directed by Sébastien Vaniček, will be held at the MK2 Bibliothèque, which will also be decorated in Halloween colors and offer various animations to enhance the experience. Moviegoers will be able to enjoy performances by actors such as Théo Christine, Sofia Lesaffre, Jérôme Niel, Lisa Nyarko and Finnegan Oldfield, in the presence of the film's cast and crew.
Séances #CinéCulte is a reminder of the intense emotions that only the big screen can provide. Following the resounding success of the 2022 edition, these screenings are being repeated, demonstrating BNP Paribas' unwavering commitment to cinema, a partnership that has lasted for over a century.
The event will take place in 8 MK2 cinemas in Paris, including Bibliothèque, Nation, Quai de Seine and Quai de Loire. Participation is simple: a draw is organized on the welovecinema.bnpparibas website, open to all from October 10 to 30, 2023.
The program has been designed to satisfy all tastes. It includes animated films such as Coco and Mr Jack's Strange Christmas, must-see classics such as The Shining and Alien The Eighth Passenger, and horror films for the more daring. What's more, a participatory selection is underway: the other 10 films on the bill will be chosen by enthusiasts on the @welovecinemafr networks.
Last but not least, every Séances #CinéCulte spectator who turns up in Halloween costume will receive a surprise, adding a festive touch to this cinematic celebration.
All in all, October 31, 2023 promises to be an unforgettable day for Parisian cinephiles. Between the great classics, the Halloween atmosphere and the surprises, everything is set for a memorable cinema experience.
