Broadcast in the United States this Sunday, February 5, the fourth episode of The Last of Us is available in France on Amazon Prime Video. For this fourth part, the shortest segment so far, 45 minutes exactly, while the adaptation of the video game of the same name had accustomed us to episodes exceeding one hour.
And this brevity is not surprising, since this episode 4 is rather a transition. Joel and Ellie(Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey) finally get a car and take the opportunity to drive across the country. For a whole half of the episode, this will result in discussions, making the relationship between the two characters deeper. This allows the viewer to get to know them better.
No infected on the horizon, the enemy this time is the human. This allows The Last of Us to show that the post-apocalyptic world it depicts is not a binary world, and that even the main characters are not necessarily role models. As our duo arrives in a new city, it is also an opportunity to get to know new characters, and especially the dangers they embody.
They only bode well for the sequel of The Last of Us, which will arrive sooner than expected! Next weekend, it's the SuperBowl in the United States, so the episode 5 will be aired this Friday, February 10th and will be available in France the next day, Saturday 11th!
