Double dose of Pedro Pascal this week! After episode 7 of The Last of Us this Monday, the actor changes register and hides behind the helmet of Din Djarin, in the first episode of season 3 of The Mandalorian, available on Disney+ since March 1st.
A soft start, that's what this visually nice episode offers us, but without much at stake. And for those who missed The Book of Boba Fett, you'll have to figure out the story! No recap is offered, but fortunately, we did it for you. The only thing we learn at the beginning of the story is that Din Djarin was expelled from the Mandalorians for taking off his helmet, and that he must now absolve himself of his sins in a source that no longer exists to be forgiven.
Third season and the formula is still the same: a galactic western with colorful characters and numerous subplots in the Star Wars universe. Like an RPG, our hero gets his main quest at the beginning of the story and multiplies side quests to get there. This made the first two seasons uneven and often too long. We hope that this time, a fresh wind will blow on the next chapters. Unfortunately, this is not what the first one seems to augur.
However, we still enjoy discovering the hero's galactic travels, and we still have fun with the well conducted confrontations and the cuteness of the mascot of this series, the adorable Grogu, aka Baby Yoda. From now on, it should be renewed!
See you next Wednesday for episode 2!
