If you are a fan ofAkira Toriyama 's universe(Dragon Ball Z, Dr. Slump, Jaco), this movie will certainly please you! You may not have known it, but Sand Land is a manga published by the legend of the genre, in 2000. After gaining cult status, it is finally adapted to the cinema, in an animated film that looks sumptuous, considering the first images (despite a CGI animation, which is often the weak point of japanimation).
The feature film is expected in Japanese theaters on August 18. There is no date in France yet, but given the popularity of Akira Toriyama, a release in our country is inevitable, either in theaters or on a platform. We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more!
In a futuristic world known as Sand Land, the only river that used to supply the whole world has suddenly dried up and the only source of drinking water is in the possession of the king who does not hesitate to charge exorbitant prices. Demons and humans live together in this world of drought until Sheriff Lao informs Beelzebub of the possible existence of a fountain that could provide for both humans and demons. Beelzebub and his friend Thief decide to accompany him in search of this resource.
