Synopsis: Last day before the end of high school. Janus and Sam have to bring drinks to the end-of-year party. While rummaging through Janus' father's cellar for bottles, they discover a strange machine...
Super-bourrés is an ideal comedy for young audiences, especially teenagers and young adults, who will recognize themselves in the offbeat humor and exuberant situations. The film's light-hearted tone is reminiscent of buddy comedies like SuperGrave or Project X, with a touch of the absurd in the bizarre adventures of characters who embark on a mundane mission... only to be confronted with the unexpected. This comedy is perfect for fans of high school films and initiation stories, where camaraderie and potty humor are at the heart of the story.
On the other hand, viewers who prefer more realistic or serious narratives may find the plot a little extravagant. For fans of wacky comedies and unfiltered humor, Super-bourrés offers a moment of uninhibited entertainment.
With Bastien Milheau directing and writing, Super-bourrés follows in the tradition of bold, inventive French comedies. Pierre Gommé and Nina Poletto bring a freshness to their roles as high-school students in search of thrills to mark their last day of high school. Barbara Schulz completes the cast, enriching the film with a touch of maturity and comic depth. Released in August 2023, this comedy captivated audiences with its unpredictable plot and effervescent humor, recalling the spirit of the best teen comedies.
With Super-bourrés, fans of wacky comedies and initiation stories can look forward to an evening of laughter and the unexpected. This film is a breath of fresh air, full of humor and energy, where slapstick meets the authenticity of the last years of high school. It's a comedy to be enjoyed with friends and family.
Our verdict on Super-drunk:
In the commune where Janus and Sam live, there's nothing to do but drink. And the adults have only one passion: drinking from morning till night. It's not easy for Janus to feel at ease among all these drunks, after having decided never to touch a single drop of alcohol, the evil that killed his father in a car accident.
But now it's the last day of high school, and she and her friend Sam have to bring drinks to the end-of-year party. As they rummage through Janus' father's cellar for bottles, they discover a strange machine...
And so begins a funny adventure which, despite its brevity (the film lasts 1h19), never ceases to surprise with its humor. This is due above all to the duo of actors, Pierre Gommé and Nina Poletto, who play Janus and Sam. She's a rugby-playing roughneck, he's a fragile twig who could easily pass for Jean Rochefort's grandson, so striking is the resemblance. And both have wonderful dialogues to perform, with a phrasing typical of the French outback that's strangely poetic, even when it comes to being vulgar.
And the big surprise of the film is, of course, the presence of Jean Lassalle in the cast. As unexpected as it is absurd, this scene is a delight, as much for the presence of the former presidential candidate as for his role, that of an old peasant who praises drinking among friends, with stars in his eyes. For this scene alone, you have to go and see Super-Bourrés, which is far more qualitative than its title suggests.
