All the more so as the platform's previous manga adaptations - Death Note, Cowboy Bebop - have been critical and popular failures.
Yu Yu Hakusho is a manga by Yoshihiro Togashi, best known for Hunter X Hunter, and tells the story of Yûsuke Urameshi, a fourteen-year-old delinquent who dies saving a little boy from an accident. Unplanned by the authorities of the realm of the dead, his sacrifice poses a problem. That's why he's offered a chance to come back to life, after proving himself worthy. He then becomes a ghost detective who hunts down wandering spirits in the human world. A first visual has been unveiled by Netflix to introduce the main characters.
