Netflix and immersive experiences, a great love story! The SVOD platform has announced the forthcoming opening of two Netflix Houses, immersive entertainment spaces to fully experience its series and films. Get ready to plunge into the heart of the universe of your favorite programs as early as 2025 in Dallas, Texas and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. These first two homes promise a captivating new experience for all Netflix fans, before the concept expands worldwide.
Netflix has never hidden its ambition to establish itself as much more than just a streaming service. After introducing video games to its catalog, the platform with 270 million subscribers worldwide is taking the next step by offering permanent physical locations. Netflix Houses will be"experiential entertainment venues" featuring sets from iconic series such as The Bridgerton Chronicle, La Casa de Papel, Stranger Things and Emily in Paris. In addition to immersive sets, these spaces will also feature stores for exclusive merchandising.
These new houses will be inspired by the many physical experiences already offered by Netflix, such as the Parisian pop-up stores around Squid Game and La Casa de Papel, or the Stranger Things Festival that enchanted Paris in 2022 (as well as the Stranger Things Experience in 2023). According to Marian Lee, Netflix's director of marketing, Netflix Houses will offer renewed experiences, shopping sessions and unique dining options inspired by your favorite series and films.
For fans in Paris and the Paris region, the question remains: will we see any Netflix Houses set up in the region? With the first American sites due to open in 2025, the success of these locations will undoubtedly determine the future expansion of the concept. And according to our sources, for the moment, nothing has been confirmed or even affirmed about their arrival in Paris. But given the success of Netflix events in the capital, it's doubtful that the SVOD platform will skip out on an installation in Paris or the surrounding region... All we can do now is keep our fingers crossed!
