Emily in Paris is the must-see series of the moment, enjoying great success on Netflix , with its fourth season due on August 15, 2024 . For Parisians, it's all the more surprising to rediscover the capital from the point of view of the young American from Chicago whose adventures we follow as she adapts to the Parisian way of life.
Each episode takes us to places in the capital that may seem familiar... or challenging. Would you like to bite into a mega pain au chocolat or take a selfie a stone's throw from your workplace? We'll show you the filming spots!
Our first stop is Place de l'Estrapade, in the capital's 5th arrondissement. From here, you'll be able to make out the maid's room with its mega-view of the Pantheon and the Sorbonne. Not far from here, at 8 Rue des Fossés Saint-Jacques, you'll find a familiar storefront: that ofEmily's handsome neighbor's restaurant. Two differences: Gabriel isn't there, and the restaurant's name isn't " Les deux Compères" but Terra Nera. At no. 16 on the same street, you'll also find the Boulangerie Moderne, where Emily makes our mouths water by tapping into what seems to be the best pain au chocolat of her life.
Then it's off to Palais-Royal to discoverEmily's workplace, Savoir. It's the Place Valois, a super-chic spot right next to the Buren columns and the Palais-Royal garden, where the young American enjoys one of her first breaks. Relatively hidden, Place Valois is also the ideal place to enjoy a quiet café terrace in Paris, we'll let you know! Emily is also trying to make reservations at Grand Véfour, chef Guy Martin's Michelin-starred restaurant at 17 Rue de Beaujolais.
Then, from Place Vendôme with Ladurée to the Monnaie de Paris for Pierre Cadault's fashion show, via the Alexandre III bridge for Maison Lavaux's perfume shoot, Emily gets caught up in the whirlwind of Parisian life. In turn, she discovers the Musée des Arts Forains, the Atelier des Lumières, drinks in front of the Eiffel Tower at the Musée de l'Homme, or in Montmartre at the mythical Maison Rose at 2 rue de l'Abreuvoir, not forgetting of course the Café de Flore and theOpéra Garnier! Season 2 also includes images of the Samaritaine, the department store whose return Parisians have long been waiting for!
