Within the walls of the Le Grave orphanage, Nica grew up surrounded by an urban legend, that of the Tearmaker: a mysterious being accused of creating all human fears and anxieties. On the eve of her 17th birthday, Nica is about to leave these childhood tales behind her. A new chapter begins for her, thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Milligan, who wish to adopt her. However, this new life brings its own surprises with Rigel, a restless and mysterious orphan adopted at the same time as Nica. Rigel, with his bewitching charm and prodigious piano talent, hides a dark side beneath his angelic exterior.
It's going to be a tough time for Nica and Rigel, both of whom have painful pasts. Despite their differences, they discover that they can be for each other the tear-maker of their own legend, confronted with the inevitable truth of their feelings. This film delves into the beating heart of love, showing that anger and kindness can be two ways of fighting suffering.
