Oom, an undocumented migrant and caregiver, struggles to preserve his humanity by caring for the elderly and disabled. Such is the scenario of Mongrel, the new and first feature film by Chiang Wei Liang and You Qiao Yin. The film has been selected for the Quinzaine des Cinéastes 2024 and will be unveiled at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, May 15-25.
