Following the resounding success of the first season of Cœurs Noirs, broadcast on Prime Video and France Télévisions, creators Duong Dang-Thaï and Corinne Garfin return with a suspenseful second season. This new season will once again plunge viewers into the heart of a high-intensity mission led by French Special Forces, in a relentless fight against Daech. With six new 45-minute episodes directed by Frédéric Jardin(Engrenages, Totems), the series promises to be more thrilling than ever.
In this season 2 of Cœurs Noirs, Groupe 45 of the French Special Forces is faced with a mission that has become personal: to free one of their own, captured by Daech. As the fighting against the terrorist organization continues, the mission takes on a human and emotional dimension, transforming the initial objective into an intense quest for rescue. This elite group, led by strong characters such as those played by Nicolas Duvauchelle and Marie Dompnier, will have to face new dangers and adversaries to save their comrade, while navigating an increasingly tense geopolitical context.
Fans of the first season will be delighted to welcome back key players such as Nicolas Duvauchelle(Les Papillons Noirs), Marie Dompnier(Les Témoins), Nina Meurisse(La Fièvre), and Thierry Godard(Engrenages). This second season will also see the arrival of new characters played by Patrick Mille(Baron Noir), Louis Séguier, Hugo Palomba and Radouan Leflahi. The mix of established talent and new figures promises to further enrich this season's intrigue and dramatic tension.
Filming for season 2 began on April 15, 2024 in Morocco, a location chosen to recreate the realistic settings of military missions in Iraq. This season, still produced by Gilles de Verdière for Mandarin Télévision, benefits from the pen of renowned scriptwriter Virginie Brac(Engrenages, Cheyenne and Lola). Prime Video will broadcast these new episodes exclusively in 2025, before they air on France Télévisions six months later.
