Like many other artists, Robbie Williams is entitled to his own biopic. Surprisingly, the famous British singer is represented by a CGI monkey! Directed by Michael Gracey, "Better Man" is due to hit cinemas in January 2025.

Following in the footsteps of Elton John, Edith Piaf, Claude François, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and Amy Winehouse, the life of another artist with an impressive musical career is about to be brought to the big screen. Called"Better Man", this biopic is dedicated to British star Robbie Williams.

But be warned, this biopic promises to be particularly unusual. The film's director, Michael Gracey, has chosen a CGI monkey to play the singer's role! It's a quirky way of evoking the life and career of this immense artist, who made his debut in the 1990s with Take That.

Australian Michael Gracey is no stranger to directing. In 2017, he directed the musical film"The Greatest Showman" starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Michelle Williams. In 2021, for Amazon Prime Video, he focused on the singer Pink through the documentary film"P!nk: All I Know So Far", which follows the singer on her"Beautiful Trauma" world tour in 2019.

In the year 2025, the director and visual effects artist honors Robbie Williams in a quirky biopic, in which the main protagonist is represented by a computer-generated chimpanzee.

" I know what you're thinking. What's up with the monkey? I'm Robbie Williams. I'm one of the biggest pop stars in the world. But I've always seen myself as a little less evolved," explains Robbie Wiiliams in a first trailer unveiled by Paramount Pictures.

On the other hand, the interpreter of " Angels ", " Feel " and " Rock DJ " plays her role well vocally. Joining her in the cast are Damon Herriman (The Nightingale, The Bikeriders), Alison Steadman (Pride and Prejudice) and Steve Pemberton (Whitechapel, Killing Eve).

"Better Man" retraces the rise of Robbie Williams, from his beginnings in a boy band to his solo success with a huge number of hits. "Better Man" is due in cinemas in January 2025.
