If you're looking for something to do with your baby in the Paris region, here's a concept that's sure to please you. In the town of Montreuil, just a metro ride east of Paris, Le Méliès, the iconic temple of the seventh art andEurope's largest art house cinema, invites you to enjoy your passion in the company of your baby.
Twice a month or so, Le Méliès offers "babies welcome" sessions. The concept? Screenings where parents can come and enjoy a film with their newborns. The screening is open to infants under 7 months of age, and only parents pay the usual ticket prices (€7 for a full-price ticket).
Screening conditions are adapted to the presence of toddlers. For example, during these screenings, there is no trailer, the sound volume is reduced and the lighting is dimmed. On a practical note, strollers and stroller cots can be left in the cinema lobby, and baby remains in his or her parent's arms during the screening. Changing tables are also available.
