Join the GCPD(Gotham City Police Department) and help Batman put the bad guys away... That's what Batman Escape, an escape game chain based in Boom Boom Villette, offers you with The Riddler room. It's a room that echoes the very raison d'être of escape games, since you'll have to challenge theMystery Man, known for posing all kinds of riddles and puzzles to his victims or adversaries...

Synopsis of The Riddler at Batman Escape:

"As you make your first day as a young recruit to the GCPD, the Riddler, the most cunning of villains, has decided to challenge you. In his eyes, you'll only earn your place on the Gotham City Police force if you can solve the riddles he's prepared for you. Used to bullying Batman, the famous Dark Knight who watches over the city, this time the Riddler threatens to plunge the city into chaos. As a welcome gift, a mysterious box has been addressed to you. Can you foil his plans and solve the riddles in the box he's left for you? Investigate and solve the riddles to earn your place. Consider this your ultimate entrance exam into the Gotham City Police Force".

Note that this is more precisely a mix between escape game and role-playing game, as you'll be accompanied for most of the adventure by Captain Renée Montoya, who will guide you with an iron fist during your first day as a new recruit. In terms of difficulty, this room is the most difficult in the series, but don't worry: it's still accessible.

Our test of The Riddler at Batman Escape:

A room that the editors were able to test. And we're not going to lie, this one put our neurons to the test... So, we joined the GCPD and, after a chat with the brigade's lieutenants, we met Renée Montoya, who asked us questions about our background. But that's without counting on theMystery Man to hack into the police station and put us to the test, while turning the city upside down.

The decor is extremely well done. Montoya 's office is incredible, as is the two-storey GCPD lobby. The same goes for the Batsignal on the roof. In short, it's flawless! As for the puzzles, as I said earlier, they're a little tougher. One in particular gave us a hard time, involving a chandelier and green hats - those, of course, of the antagonist in question.

All in all, The Riddler is an excellent, highly immersive venue, thanks in no small part to the perfect decor and the non-stop presence of the actors. It's fresh, it's well done... Everything we love. All you have to do is make up your own mind!
