Borderlands 4, the next installment in Gearbox and 2K's acclaimed franchise announced at Gamescom, awaits you on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series in 2025. Here's an update on the first details of this eagerly-awaited game!

An announcement we didn't really expect at Gamescom... AtOpening Night Live on August 20, 2024, Gearbox Software and 2K announced the upcoming release of Borderlands 4. This highly-anticipated new opus in the franchise even has a release date, scheduled for 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series, as well as PC via Steam and theEpic Games Store. Gamers can now add the game to their wishlist, and get ready to dive into another epic adventure.

Synopsis of Borderlands 4:

"In this new opus of the ultimate shooter-looter, players will take on the role of a legendary Ark Hunter and must fight their way through hordes of enemies in search of new treasures to plunder on a brand-new planet."

This fourth title in the series stands out for its franchise-typical gameplay, where players take on the role of a legendary treasure hunter in search of a mysterious extraterrestrial treasure. True to the spirit of Borderlands, this new opus promises a mix of frenetic action and looting of all kinds, all set in an ever richer and crazier universe. The trailer unveiled at Gamescom offered a first glimpse of one of the new planets that players will be able to explore, revealing a variety of environments and increasingly formidable enemies.
