Dear Parisians! Maison Fragile – Made in France tableware designer – turns into “Chez Marcel” from November 8 to December 24, 2022, providing you with a temporary café-store to enjoy Proustian gastronomy. Café, madeleines, porcelain, and goodies, the pop-up store is a genuine ode to Marcel Proust.
Founded in 2017, Maison Fragile develops creations made of delicate porcelain from Limoges with emerging artists from the French Touch. The pop-up set rue Trudaine shines a light on the “Chers Parisiens” collection, an assortment of plates, cups and mugs drawn by artist Jean-Michel Tixier, hand-painted in 24-carat gold, and celebrating historic Parisian celebrities like Marcel Proust.

On the menu of “Chez Marcel”, some coffee from Terre de Café and madeleine by “Chez Bogato”, a creative bakery in the Marais. Choose between the “Madeleine de Proust” and the madeleine based on orange blossom and edible flowers, inspired by the writer’s “In the Shadow of Young Girls in Flower”.
And to complete this tribute to Marcel Proust, a devoted collection will be available at the café:
- A textile art madeleine by Aurélie Mathigot
- An embroidered art madeleine by Audrey Demarre
- Gorgeous books and notebooks of the madeleine by Edition des Saints Pères
- “Madeleine de Proust” notebooks by Papier Tigre
