It's a little store tucked away in one of the backstreets of the Quartier Latin, visible by its big yellow sign and unusual name. Aaapoum Bapoum is a second-hand bookshop. You'll find comics of all origins, especially Franco-Belgian, but also mangas, comics and independent comics from all over the world.
Some titles are in their original language, and the countries are very accessible. But the Aaapoum Bapoum bookshop will be of particular interest to collectors, as it stocks a large number of rare books, first editions, vintage books and collectors' items. As a result, prices can vary widely.
The main store is on rue Serpente, but there's a second one not far from there, on rue Dante, where you'll mainly find rare or second-hand French-Belgian comics, old or more recent, some very expensive, others much more affordable. Lots of first editions, rarities, special or limited editions, unobtainables.
And of course, second-hand means buy-back. You can have your books appraised by the bookshop team and get a price 30 to 50% lower than the price at which Aaapoum Bapoum will sell them.
