It's back for another edition: plunge into the heart of Middle Eastern and Maghreb cultures with the international Menart Fair. Join us from September 20 to 22, 2024 at Galerie Joseph, in the 4th arrondissement, to discover talented young artists from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
This original art fair allows us to admire the innovative work of numerous artists from various countries in the Levant, the Arab-Persian Gulf and North Africa. For this fifth edition of Menart Fair, some thirty art galleries have carefully selected the best of modern and contemporary artists. They are photographers, painters, sculptors, video artists... They have come together for a moment of sharing and communion aroundmodern and contemporary art, a universal language that creates the most beautiful links between people.
Yes, "they": for this fifth edition, Menart Fair is giving pride of place to women, with a selection of artists and a program that honors women from the Middle East and North Africa. A special program is planned for this 2024 edition, details of which can be found on the fair website. These include exhibitions, round-table discussions, video and short-film screenings , and guided tours for the general public.
Often renowned in their home countries, these artists have the opportunity to make themselves known to the French public. Art lovers have a unique opportunity to discover original, singular creators, bubbling with ideas and driven by their passion.
After a fair dedicated to young creators and new means of expression, it's now women's turn to be in the spotlight. Some thirty galleries from 12 different countries are exhibiting the creations of these artists, and offering a variety of events to discuss the place of women in art.
By the way, where does the name of this fair come from? "MENA" represents the participating countries (Middle East / North Africa). We mixed this acronym with the word art, which is at the heart of everything we do. The aim of the event is to showcase the artistic wealth of these countries, which are often forgotten by the Western art world.
Come and discover these exceptionally talented artists at this one-of-a-kind fair!
