Adab, which means literature in Arabic, is the name of this festival of contemporary literature from the Maghreb and the Middle East, which returns for a second edition at the Maison de la Poésie, in the 3rd arrondissement. A literary salon showcasing emerging voices from this part of the world, whose works offer a different perspective from that of the West, in a flourishing literary production. Join us on December 6 and 7, 2024 to meet a dozen authors!

An opportunity to discover hundreds of novels, essays and comic strips through individual interviews, dialogues between authors, writing workshops for adults and activities for children. On the program: Samir Kacimi, Coline Houssais, Saber Mansouri, Nadia Hathroubi, Laure Ibrahim, Mabrouck Rachedi, Hanan el Cheikh, Karim Kattan, Stéphanie Dujols, and Amira Ghenim.

While the literary festival pays tribute to the great writers of the last few decades, the new generation of writers gives us a glimpse of theevolution of the Arab world, in the countries of the region as well as in the diasporas, which is still experiencing numerous social and political upheavals.
