On July 23, 2017, the Tour de France 2017 will end on the Champs-Elysées. For this occasion, the sponsor of the event, the FDJ (France’s national lottery games also called Française des Jeux) offers 2024 women to come and ride the last 8 kilometers of the world’s greatest cycling competition. The initiative called “Les Champs pour Elles” (Female cyclists on the Champs-Elysées) aims at supporting Paris application with just a few weeks left to go before the announce of the next city to host Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024 and at supporting female cycling.
Organized as part of the FDJ mobilization campaign “Prêts à jouer le jeu pour Paris 2024?” (Ready to play the game for Paris 2024?), the ride “Les Champs pour Elles” may allow you to ride the Champs-Elysées along with the greatest cycling champions. The ride will start at 2 p.m. from Avenue Winston Churchill.
Cyclist sponsored by the FDJ team, Thibaut Pinot says: “We are looking forward the eight kilometers of the Tour de France. There is a very positive vibe and a festive atmosphere especially when we arrive on the Champs-Elysées. This year’s novelty is to ride through the Grand Palais nave which is going to be incredible. I think it is great that this experience can be accessible to 2,024 passionate female cyclists. Go Paris 2024!”
