The Triathlon de l'Espoir in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the cystic fibrosis charity race

The Triathlon de l'Espoir returns to Saint-Germain-en-Laye on Sunday, September 24, 2023 for its 11th edition, to rally against cystic fibrosis and raise public awareness of this terrible disease. The race, organized by the association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose, is designed to be accessible to as many people as possible, with the possibility of surpassing themselves in a team relay or on their own. The program includes a 500m swim, a 20km mountain bike ride through the forest and a 5km run, finishing at the Château.

For a day of sport and festivities, a "Village of Hope " will be set up all day at the foot of the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, with numerous activities for all: workshops and information stands, a commented historical trail, games for children... The aim is to give a helping hand to those who are short of breath, and to run for a good cause, as all funds raised will be donated to research into this rare genetic disease which mainly affects the respiratory and digestive systems.

The event is part of the Virades de l'Espoir, a nationwide day of mobilization across France, featuring races as well as more family-oriented activities. In the Île-de-France region, there are events at Parc de Sceaux, Gournay-sur-Marne, Cergy-Pontoise, and even in Paris - find the one nearest you!
