Paris AccorHotels Arena plans to give pride of place to handball on Sunday January 5, 2020 for the new edition of the Male Golden League.
But what is the Golden League? Created in 2012 by Denmark, France and Norway, this yearly international championship gathers the best teams for international weeks let free by the official championships of the EHF (European Handball Federation) and the IHF (International Handball Federation).
Every year, the three founding countries welcome a game at home in turn, naming Norway, Denmark and France. For each of these steps, the organizing nation brought the other two founding countries and invites a fourth international team of its choice.
Then, the 4-nation tournament begins. The final ranking is only made counting Denmark, France and Norway.
The nation that won the most victory points on the three steps is declared winner of the Golden League.
In 2020, the French Team expects you on January 5 at Paris AccorHotels Arena for the second day of the famous Golden League.
No need to say this game against the World Champions – naming Denmark – or their runner-up – Norway – will have Didier Dinart’s men under pressure; the “Bleus” will have to give everything they have a few days before the EHF EURO 2020.
Come and support them on January 5, 2020 in the huge venue of Paris AccorHotels Arena.
In the meantime, here’s a video to warm up!
