After the live return of Michel Sardou, another iconic French singer is back on stage. In Le Parisien and on RTL, Michel Polnareff stated he was about to go back on the roads of France for an exclusive tour where the singer will perform alone at his piano, on a central stage.
As for dates, Michel Polnareff has planned about twenty shows including the first one being scheduled on May 24, 2023, in Nice. The iconic glass-wearing singer will then go to Nîmes (for the Nîmes festival), Nantes, Dijon, Bordeaux, Lyon (for Les Nuits de Fourvière), Strasbourg, Bordeaux and even Toulouse. Note that for the two festival shows, the stage will not be used. In the capital city, Michel Polnareff expects all his fans on Sunday July 2, and Monday 3, 2023, for an exclusive show scheduled at the Paris Accor Arena. A place he is familiar with since he already took over the venue in the 12th arrondissement, when he last came to France, back in 2016. What about the opening of the ticketing service (for the new show on Monday July 3)? Tickets go on sale on Tuesday December 6, at 10 a.m. (CET).
This is the occasion for the singer to sing some of his many successes in a “piano-voice” version. We can especially think of “La Poupée qui fait non”, as well as “Love me, please love me”, or “Sous quelle étoile suis-je né?”, without forgetting “Goodbye Marylou”, “On ira tous au paradis”, or even “Lettre à France”.
This new tour is not the singer’s only hot news. Michel Polnareff is also expected to release his album “Polnareff chante Polnareff”, this Fall! Out since November 18, 2022, this is a cover album of his greatest hits but piano-voice version.
So, are you ready to (re)discover Michel Polnareff live after six years of absence? Meet him live in Paris on July 2 and 3, 2023, at the Accor Arena to enjoy many of his successes in a piano and solo version!
