Since its inauguration in 1984, the Zénith de Paris has established itself as one of the capital's most popular concert venues. Located in the 19th arrondissement, in the heart of the La Villette district, and just a few meters from the Trabendo, the Philharmonie and the Cabaret Sauvage, the Zénith de Paris was conceived as a response to the closure of the Pavillon de Paris. This multi-purpose concert hall quickly gained an international reputation thanks to its impressive capacity of just over 6,800 people and its avant-garde design.
Its architectural design is the fruit of a collaboration between Philippe Chaix and Jean-Paul Morel. Le Zénith de Paris was designed to offer a high-quality visual and acoustic experience for spectators and performers alike. Its demountable structure was originally intended to be temporary, but the venue's immediate and lasting success led to its perpetuation.
Over the years, the Zénith de Paris has hosted a host of memorable concerts. Renowned French artists such as Johnny Hallyday, Charles Trenet and Renaud have given unforgettable performances here. On the international scene, bands and artists such as U2, Metallica, David Bowie, Nirvana, AC/DC and Bob Dylan have also left their mark on this legendary venue. These events have greatly contributed to the Zenith's reputation, making it an essential stop-off point for national and international tours.
In addition to concerts, the Zenith de Paris has also been the venue for many other events, including musicals and comedy shows, thus diversifying its cultural offering. This versatility has helped establish the Zenith as a cultural nerve center in Paris.
To reach the Zenith de Paris by public transport, visitors have several options. The venue is easily accessible by metro line 5, stopping at the Porte de Pantin station, which is just a few minutes' walk away. Bus lines 75 and 151 also offer direct access, as does tramway T3b.
