Having set several European metal festivals alight this summer, and having thrilled audiences at the Arènes de Nîmes as support act for Gojira, Avatar are already announcing their live return with their"Great Metal Circus Tour". And for this new tour on the Old Continent, the Swedish heavy metal and groove metal stalwarts are planning no less than 11 exceptional dates in France.
On the menu? Stops in Rouen, Rennes, Roubaix, Strasbourg, Reims, Nîmes, Toulouse, Biarritz, La Rochelle and Clermont-Ferrand. In the Île-de-France region, Avatar will not be stopping off in Paris. The Scandinavian band has chosen to take over a smallEssonne venue, Le Plan in Ris-Orangis, for a one-off show on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
Needless to say, this intimate concert is sure to turn the small Parisian venue upside down. But be warned, there won't be enough seats for everyone, so don't miss the opening of ticket sales with the "Avatar Country" presale on Wednesday September 27 at 11am, followed by the general on-sale on Friday September 29 at 11am.
It's an opportunity for Avatar to put on a show, as they know how, and perform tracks from their fine discography. The band, led by eccentric singer Johannes Eckerström, has released no less than 9 albums, including the latest, the excellent"Dance Devil Dance".
