In 2024, British heavy metal band Judas Priest announce their return to the capital with an exclusive date scheduled at the Zénith de La Villette on Monday April 8, 2024.
Judas Priest was founded in 1969 by guitarist Kenneth Keith Downing and bassist Ian Hill. Judas Priest is part of the famous NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal).
The band achieved success in 1977 with"Sin After Sin", an album produced by Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover. This album would go down as one of the band's best.
Judas Priest went on to record their first live album,"Unleashed In The East", in 1979. Successful albums such as"British Steel" (1980),"Point of Entry" (1981),"Defender of The Faith" (1984) and"Turbo" (1986) followed. In 1990, Judas Priest renewed their repertoire with the cult classic"Painkiller".
Judas Priest are one of those bands you just have to see live, thanks to their charismatic frontman Rob Halford and their pyrotechnics. They'll be at Lyon's Halle Tony Garnier on April 5, then at Paris' Zénith - La Villette on Monday April 8, 2024. As the icing on the cake, the "Metal Masters" tour will feature Saxon as support act.
