Tenacious D in concert at Paris' Accor Arena in May 2024

After setting Hellfest alight in the summer of 2023, Tenacious D has announced its return to France as part of " The Spicy Meatball Tour", this time with a concert scheduled for theAccor Arena in Paris on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The French capital is not the only stop on this new tour announced by the American band. Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the two founding members of this satirical hard rock band, are also planning stops in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Brighton and Nottingham.

An opportunity to (re)discover live the crazy musical style of this American band, made famous in 1999 thanks to the TV series of the same name. We had to wait until 2001 to hear the Californian band's first opus, and discover Tenacious D's first hit, entitled " Tribute ". Such was their success that Jack Black and Kyle Gass decided to compose the soundtrack for the film"Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny", a comedy about the band's fictional rise to the top of the rock scene.

In 2012, Tenacious D received a Grammy Award nomination for their album"Rize of the Fenix", and in 2014 they won an award for Best Metal Performance. In 2013, the two acolytes founded Festival Supreme, a festival dedicated to music and humor in Los Angeles. We can't forget the 2018 release of the animated film"Tenacious D in Post-Apocalypto", accompanied by its soundtrack.

More recently, Tenacious D gave a series of sold-out concerts in Las Vegas, releasing the hit"Video Games" and a cover of"Wicked Game", not forgetting a memorable show at Hellfest. In 2024, Jack Black and Kyle Gass are back in the spotlight with"The Spicy Meatball Tour".
