Since its grand reopening on December 7, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris has been attracting many faithful visitors. While many come to discover the incredible reconstruction carried out by the workers and carpenters, others plan to visit to admire the restored edifice in music. It was a long-awaited reopening, not only for the faithful, but also for the French and tourists who love this rich architectural heritage. More than five years after the tragic fire, Notre-Dame de Paris reopened its doors on December 7. And the crowds are out in force, whether for Mass or for tours of the building. According to a cathedral official who spoke to RFI, 300,000 people visited Notre-Dame over the last nine days.
The first concerts to be held at Notre-Dame de Paris are also attracting large numbers of curious onlookers. After two sold-out concerts on December 17 and 18, those scheduled for January, February and March 2025 are also all sold out. However, a waiting list is available for the most motivated.
You'll have to wait until April 2025 to find available seats, especially for the organ recital on Tuesday, April 1. Other sacred music concerts at Notre-Dame can be booked for May, June, July and August 2025. Tickets cost a minimum of 25 euros, and should be purchased well in advance.
