"Global Tour" is the name of Simple Minds ' new tour! After 10 dates across the Channel, the Scottish band will be touring the Old Continent, taking in Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy and France. In France, Simple Minds has announced no less than five concerts. On the menu? A Zenith tour of Strasbourg, Dijon, Nantes, Clermont-Ferrand and Paris. In the French capital, the band will meet its fans on Thursday April 18, 2024 with a single concert at the Zénith de La Villette.
A word of advice: don't miss the opening of ticket sales, with a fan-only pre-sale available from September 13 at 10am, followed by a general on-sale date of September 15 at 9am.
Simple Minds enjoyed most of their success between 1982 and 1992, thanks in particular to"New Gold Dream","Sparkle in the Rain" and"Once Upon a Time", marked by hits such as " Don't You..." (Breakfast Club soundtrack) and " Alive And Kicking ".
After this, the Scottish new wave and alternative rock band lost their way a little before returning to the forefront in 2005 with the release of a new opus entitled"Black & White 050505". Since then, Simple Minds have released"Graffiti Soul" (2009), a Greatest Hits album, "Big Music" (2014), from which the single"Honest Town" is taken, as well as"Walk Between Worlds" (2018) and"Direction of the Heart" (2022).
In 2024, Jim Kerr and his band will be back on the road in Europe, to meet up with their many fans live. In other good news, Simple Minds have announced a special guest on this tour, Scottish rock band Del Amitri.
