While the capital is due to inaugurate theAdidas Arena in early 2024, another arena is due to see the light of day in the Île-de-France region that same year. What will it be called? The Arena Grand Paris (formerly the Colisée Grand Paris). To be discovered in Seine-Saint-Denis, more precisely in the town of Tremblay-en-France, this major new complex is likely to put a smile on the faces of sports, music and entertainment fans living in the north and east of the Île-de-France region.
"As the only arena of this capacity in Seine-Saint-Denis, it will benefit all residents of Paris Terres d'Envol, as well as a large catchment area to the north and east of the capital. Through a varied and accessible program, it will appeal to all generations," reads the arena's official website.
As Le Parisien reveals, theArena Grand Paris will feature two halls, each with 7,000 and 2,000 seats. While the latter will host sporting events, the former will be dedicated to concerts and shows, with a special configuration enabling the audience to get as close as possible to the artists on stage. " It will offer the public a unique immersive experience, thanks in particular to its modular structure, which can operate both in Zenith configuration for live shows, and in Arena configuration for sporting events ", the arena states on its website.
What about theArena Grand Paris inauguration date? The complex is due to open its doors to the public on Saturday, September 28, 2024, with Gad Elmaleh's latest show, entitled " Lui-même ", on the program. Tickets have been on sale since December 19.
