But the month of December is also marked by many other outings and events, such as concerts. Festivals are fewer and farther between. But live music doesn't come to a standstill. Thanks to the presence of numerous national and international artists and Parisian concert halls, live music is alive and well in Paris throughout December.
Paris and the rest of the Île-de-France region are fortunate enough to be home to a number of concert and performance venues. There's Paris La Défense Arena, considered to be Europe's largest indoor venue. In fact, Paris La Défense Arena has already opened its doors to numerous music celebrities, including Mylène Farmer, Pink, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift.
Another must-see venue in Paris? TheAccor Arena, in the 12th arrondissement. And don't forget the Zenith de Paris,Olympia, Philharmonie, Salle Pleyel, Trianon, Folies Bergère, Grand Rex andÉlysée Montmartre.
Smaller, more intimate venues are also scattered around the capital. These include La Maroquinerie, La Cigale, Le Trabendo, La Gaîté Lyrique, La Boule Noire or Petit Bain and Le Cabaret Sauvage.
