Gojira literally set the Accor Arena in Paris on February 25th on fire. Between pyrotechnic effects, thundering songs and energy to spare... Back on this concert of Gojira in Paris that you should not miss.

It was a concert that fans and the band had been waiting for since... 2020. But, with the health crisis, Gojira had no choice but to postpone and shift its tour, including its Parisian concert.

The fans were therefore real electric batteries this Saturday evening, February 25, 2023. After two very angry performances by the English of Employed to Serve and the New Zealanders of Alien Weaponry, Gojira arrived on the stage of theAccor Arena under a thunderous applause.

The four acolytes are quick to get the ball rolling, notably with tracks from their excellent latest opus. Called"Fortitude", this record is more accessible than the previous ones, so much so that it became the best selling album in terms of physical copies in the United States during its first week of distribution. Today, Gojira is the most famous and admired French metal band in the world! Proof of their fame, Gojira received three Grammy Award nominations, including"Best Rock Album" for"Magma" and"Best Metal Performance" for the singles"Silvera" and "Amazonia". As for the drummer, Mario Duplantier, he is often cited as one of the best drummers in the world!

Not surprisingly, Gojira 's reputation and talent is confirmed on stage. In live, Joe, Mario, Christian and Jean-Michel send heavy stuff: explosive songs to turn your head, careful scenography with images projected on a giant screen and fun pyrotechnic effects (flame projections, CO2 cannon, confetti jets...) without forgetting an overflowing and communicative energy.

On stage, the four acolytes seem at times to be truly in trance. While Jean-Michel jumps and dances with his bass, Mario plays with his eyes closed to be in perfect harmony with the powerful sounds emanating from his drums. The fans are also euphoric. Between circule pit, slam, wall of death and pogo, the public present in the pit of Paris Bercy gives it to heart this evening, but always in the respect and the good mood! An atmosphere that scotched Gojira, impressed by this human tide that chanted his name. The four artists could hardly realize the unique moment they were living.

As for the setlist, the last tracks of Gojira, taken from"Fortitude", resounded in Paris Bercy. While " Another World " conquered everyone, " The Chant " created a kind of unique communion between the fans and the band, to the point of being taken up in chorus once the song was over, and even outside the room, once the concert was over!

But the members of Gojira also paid tribute to their previous opuses, by interpreting in particular " Silvera " available on the opus"Magma", " L'enfant sauvage " present on the eponymous album or " Backbone " to be found on"From Mars to Sirius".

Epic, explosive, euphoric, energetic and incredibly unique... words are missing to describe this concert of Gojira in Paris. What is certain is that you had to be there to discover what the Gojira experience is like live!
