Who hasn't heard of the Festival de Nîmes, which takes place every summer on the exceptional site of the Arènes de Nîmes? Since its inception, this festival has featured some incredible international and French-speaking artists: PJ Harvey, Placebo, Noir Désir, Ben Harper, David Bowie, The Cure, Compay Segundo, Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Metallica and many more.
The South of France is known for hosting the largest number of festivals in the country: theater, music, dance, street theater... every cultural discipline is represented. Unsurprisingly, the Nîmes Arena attracts thousands of visitors every year, fascinated by the quality of its conservation. Classified as a historic monument, the Arènes de Nîmes is, by virtue of its very architectural function, a must-see venue for shows and concerts.
