Next spring, the Californian desert will once again play host to a host of major music stars at the new, 24th edition of Coachella. Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, Charli XCX, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion, Kraftwerk, Benson Boone, Prodigy, Marina, Sam Fender, Misfits and Shaboozey are all expected to perform.
Every spring, this major musical event attracts spectators from all over the world to Indio, not far from Los Angeles, California. Featuring no fewer than 6 stages, Coachella is as much about alternative rock as it is about hip-hop and electro. Much more than just a music festival, Coachella is also an artistic, social and media event, where many celebrities like to hang out.
Organized over two three-day periods, the Coachella festival will take place in 2025 on April 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20. The program for this 24th edition was unveiled on November 20. And this time, only two French artists are on the program. So who are they? Who will have the honor of representing France at Coachella 2025?
We're talking about Polo & Pan! The famous duo, founded in 2013, is the result of a meeting between two electro artists: " Polocorp "(Paul Armand-Delille) and " Peter Pan "(Alexandre Grynszpan). A meeting that quickly turned into a friendship and gave rise to a beautiful collaboration, with the release of a first EP entitled"Rivolta".
In 2017, they released their first proper opus"Caravelle", marked by the tracks " Canopée ", " Cœur croisé ", " Plage isolée (soleil levant) " and " Chasseur d'ivoire ". Following a reissue of"Caravelle" in 2018, the duo will release"Cyclorama" in 2021, an album that invites us to travel through time, following the stages of human existence.
In 2025, Paul Armand-Delille and Alexandre Grynszpan from the duo Polo & Pan will be the only two French artists to make Coachella festival-goers dance. The dates will be April 13 and 20 in the Californian desert. However, another French-speaking artist, Belgium's Amelie Lens, will be on the bill for this 24th edition. In 2024, L'Impératrice, Gesaffelstein and Justice represented France at Coachella.
