On July 26, all eyes were on the capital for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. To light up the evening, several artists, singers and dancers, had been invited, including Céline Dion, Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura, Gojira with Marina Viotti or Philippe Katerine and Polish countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński. So, who will you be seeing in concert in Paris? Let's find out!

Lady Gaga and her " feather thingy ", Céline Dion perched on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower to perform " L'hymne à l'amour ", Gojira setting the Conciergerie alight with opera singer Marina Viotti, Philippe Katerine naked and hidden under a bell, or Juliette Armanet covering John Lennon's sublime " Imagine " with Sofiane Pamart at the piano on a floating stage on the Seine.... Last Friday, July 26, Thomas Jolly pulled out all the stops, inviting some incredible artists to perform at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. They all lit up this incredible evening, delivering memorable moments that were moving, powerful and sometimes funny too!

Not forgetting the participation of rapper Rim'K, mezzo-soprano Axelle Saint-Cirel, drag queens Paloma and Nicky Doll, DJ Barbara Butch, pianist Alexandre Kantorow and dancers from the Malandain Ballet Biarritz, accordionist Félicien Brut and Polish countertenor and break-dancer Jakub Józef Orliński.

If you liked their performance, then we've got good news! Several of them are planning to take to the stage in Paris soon. Find out more about these artists, who were present at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics and will soon be performing live on stage.

While Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamua, Céline Dion and Gojira have no concerts scheduled in Paris for the time being, others will be stopping off in the City of Light in the coming weeks or months.

We start with Philippe Katerine, whom Chinese Internet users have nicknamed"l'artiste Schtroumpf" (the Smurf artist). The offbeat singer will be in Paris in 2025, with a concert scheduled for April at the Zénith de la Villette. And tickets are still available, so don't delay!

Another artist, another concert: Rim'K. The French rapper, who performed his song"King" on July 26, will be on stage at Le Douze in Cergy, Val-d'Oise, this autumn. As part of the Temps Fort Génération(s) program, Rim'K will be joined by L2B for an evening to be experienced on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Marina Viotti, the lyric singer who caused a sensation alongside Gojira in front of the Conciergerie, will also be visiting Paris in the coming months. The mezzo-soprano (Victoire de la Musique for Performer of the Year in 2023) will be at theOpéra Bastille in"Faust" from September 26 to October 18, 2024. She will then move to the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées for"Werther" from March 22 to April 6, 2025. Marina Viotti is also due to release a new album, described as a " hybrid ", on October 11. According to initial reports, this album will feature a mirror image of songs by John Dowland (Renaissance) and songs of today (Lana del Rey, Metallica, U2...).

Paloma, the drag queen who appeared alongside Nicky Doll and Barbara Butch at the opening ceremony, will also be in Paris shortly. Hugo Bardin, who hides under the guise of Paloma, has already performed at L'Européen, La Scala and Les Folies Bergère. This winter, on December 21, 2024, Paloma will be at the Trianon for her show"PALOMA au PluriElles".

Finally, I'm sure you were dazzled by their performance in front of the Hôtel-Dieu on July 26. I'm talking about the dancers from Malandain Ballet Biarritz. Did you know that? Thierry Malandain's company is considered one of the great ambassadors of French dance in the world! After having danced brilliantly on the banks of the Seine in one of the tableaux evoking the gold of Olympic medals, Malandain Ballet Biarritz will perform in Paris from February 5 to 15, 2025 at the Théâtre du 13ème Art with its show"Les Saisons" by Thierry Malandain.
