The Gruss family is a family of horsemen and the Farfadais are acrobats. Together, they came up with a horse and air show that brings together the prowess of horses and the artists’, spinning and fluttering about the air of Cirque Gruss.
After delighting not less than 500,000 spectators with the show Pégase & Icare, the Gruss family decides to set the bar even higher after performing for already 160 years. Producer Stephan Gruss explains: “After Pégase & Icare, we decided to take up a new challenge; go even further in every field: physical prowess by artists and horses, technical innovations in the apparatus, staging and musical performances…”
On the 3 levels of the circus, 40 horses, 23 artists and a 10-musician orchestra will perform live. Quintessence sounds like a string of breathtaking air and water performances with a key moment: an equestrian display with 26 horses. Artists will perform figures, acrobatics, portés, dizzying stunts with stands and juggling.
Those who already know the shows designed by Gruss talk about them with sparkling eyes and this experience is one of the best to live out in Paris. Go with your family, for a birthday or to just be in the mood for Christmas.
