After treading upon the stages across the globe, the Cirque Eloize is coming to Paris from October 5 to 29, 2017 with a new show: Cirkopolis. For the occasion, the Quebec crew will perform in the brand-new theatre of the Place d’Italie, the Théâtre du 13ème Art, a high-quality show in which dance, circus and theater brilliantly mix up.
Cirque Eloize company’s multidisciplinary aspect doesn’t need to be proven anymore. For over twenty years, the company renews traditional circus acts by combining them with other disciplines such as singing, dancing, humor and visual arts, giving this ancestral art a new lease of life and bringing it towards a new public conquered by this blend of physical exploits and artistic creativity.
Cirkopolis is in line with it. Inspired by the movie Metropolis, this new show takes us in a retro-futuristic setting where 10 acrobats and dancers challenge the tedium of the daily life and push the limits imposed by the city-factory with meticulous choreographies and spectacular acrobatics, with video screenings and original music tracks.
