This show sounds very promising: on a round stage, horses parade under colored light beams, bringing Chantilly Equestrian Company new show “The Prince & The Swan” to life. Every year since 1984, Chantilly Christmas show is a true gem putting together many skills. It’s a sure thing that 2017 edition will be no exception!
It’s the very first time that the oh-so famous Swan Lake is interpreted in an equestrian version. Behind this project, there’s stage director Virginie Mouzy-Bienaimé who worked closely with Chantilly Equestrian Company.
Acrobats mix play, dance and equestrian exploits with a breathtaking talent. The whole show lasts one hour, the perfect duration for the youngest spectators since we all know they’re unable to stand put.
This general public version offers the opportunity to discover a timeless classic usually performed on the greatest (and most expensive) stages in the world. Great Stables technical and art director Sophie Bienaimé explains: “This will also be the occasion for spectators who are not familiar with ballet repertoire to discover this story but in an unexpected version suiting everyone for great grandparents to great grandchildren!”
