Olivier de Benoist, after several years playing Le Petit Dernier in Paris and on tour, is back with his latest show, Le Droit au Bonheur. Playing at L'Européen from October 17 to December 28 2024, the comedian often adopts an ironic, deceptively serious tone to talk about social issues.
For his new show, the comedian turns to the subject of family. Melancholy, Olivier de Benoist decided to go and recharge his batteries with his family. But after a few days with his wife and children, his condition worsened drastically. So, like a responsible father, Olivier leaves without telling them. His new show was a resounding success at Point Virgule, and was extended for further dates at L'Européen in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
Trained at the Cours Florent and discovered on France 2 's "On n'demande qu'à en rire" in 2010, Olivier de Benoist has come a long way since then. He has performed in a string of shows, including Très Très Haut Débit, Fournisseur d'Excès and 0/40. Known for his sometimes offbeat, piquant humor, the comedic talent often tackles married life and male-female relationships, where he often plays the role of a husband overwhelmed by his wife. With his clumsy misogynist persona, he takes a self-deprecating approach to the clichés of married life. New dates for his latest show are eagerly awaited!
