From December 20 to 27, 2023, discover Pinocchio, the famous little wooden boy, at Le Centquatre in the 19th arrondissement. Adapted from Carlo Collodi's classic fairy tale, director Thomas Bellorini 's Pinocchio transports you to a fantastical world in a show that will delight the youngest (5 years and up) and bring back fond childhood memories for the oldest.
Meet Gepetto, the old carpenter from the tale, and Pinocchio in a show combining live music, theater and circus: for one hour (neither too long for the youngest, nor too short), a fairy accordionist, a one-man band and other characters will tell you the story of Pinocchio, the famous puppet whose nose gets longer when he lies! Thomas Bellorini revisits Collodi's traditional tale in his own way, with music at the center of the story and a host of performers to play out this initiatory tale. On stage, Brenda Clark, Zsussanna Varkonyi, Céline Ottria, Samy Azzabi, Edouard Demande, François Pérache and Jo Zeugma bring this poetic story to life.
This family show, recommended for ages 5 and up, costs €8 for children under 12, €10 for under-30s and €15 full price! Performances take place in the mid-afternoon or early evening: if you feel like it, take the opportunity to visit the Maison des Petits, Le Centquatre's free children's area.
